Why an Above Ground Pool Can Be a Great Choice

Why an Above Ground Pool Can Be a Great Choice By Craig Friesen

You can turn your backyard into a family leisure center with the addition of a swimming pool. There are some great reasons for choosing an above ground pool over pools dug into the ground.

Factors for you to consider when choosing a swimming pool include cost of the pool, its installation, and time you plan to stay in your current home. An above ground pool has a solution to each of these considerations as compared to an in ground swimming pool.

Cost of Swimming Pools Can be Very High

When installing in ground pools there are 3 major costs to consider: the pool, its installation, and preparation of the ground. With an above ground pool the cost of excavation is not present so you can immediately count that saving. The pool itself will likely be less expensive than most in ground pools, especially if you consider an inflatable swimming pool instead of a hard shell. You can choose to install basic decking or none at all.

Install Some Above Ground Pools Yourself!

One of the possibilities with an above ground pool is to install it yourself. Your choice may depend on the size of the swimming pool as well as decking and your time or interest for such a project. But when you compare the major price components, you could save the costs of installation and excavation by going with an above ground pool.

Take Your Pools With You?

Most homeowners would not think to take their swimming pools with them but with an above ground pool that may be an option. Depending on the amount of decking and decorative effects around your pool, it could simply be a matter of reversing the installation process in order to take your above ground pool with you. The lower cost and easier installation make inflatable pools a great choice if you plan to move.
