Spotting a Roof Leak
Although the roof on your home is a component that has strong durability and will last a long time, you will occasionally experience leaks as the years wear on. Being able to spot leaks is a key to keeping to damage to a minimum and getting the roof shingles repaired quickly. If you suspect that you have a leak, follow these simple steps to discover its source and get it fixed fast. First, go up in your attic and look for water damage. This means walking around you attic and inspecting the underside. When you find a water leak, trace the leak to its source directly under your roof. Use a tape measure to get an exact location so that it is easier to find when you get up on your roof. Once you have located the source of the leak, go up on your roof. Examine the roof shingles to see where the leak is entering.
