Signs of Siding Wear
If you are a homeowner with siding, then today's posting is especially for you. One of the responsibilities of having a home with siding is knowing how and where to spot potential damage in the construction. Although siding is a durable material, wear and tear combined with external forces can often lead to damage. But if you know what to look for, you can get your siding repaired promptly. First, look for any unnatural bubbling of your siding material. Intense sun and heat can cause small bubbles to appear in your siding over an extended period of time. If you are the third or fourth owner of the home, bubbling might be a concern. Also, check to see if any portion of the siding is pulling away from your home. Intense storm surges can cause the siding to lift away from its base. If water collects under your siding, there is a real possibility of molding and mildewing. These are just a couple of types of damage that you should be on the lookout for if you have home siding.
