Preserving Your Roof
Many homeowners give very little thought or consideration to their roof until it fails on them. When the roof starts leaking and the ceilings begin to blacken is too late to learn that you must take steps to preserve and protect your roof in order to lengthen its life. Regularly cleaning your gutters is a good start. When gutters get clogged it traps water on the roof and promotes leaking. Also, keep the branches of the trees in your yard trimmed properly. A storm can easily break off branches damaging the structure of the roof. Replace any torn or loosened shingles that you see to keep the integrity of the roof seal. These simple techniques will add life to your roof and protect your home overall.
