Controlling Air Flow with Your HVAC System
There's very little doubt that your HVAC system is one of the most important appliances in your home. Especially during these cold winter months, your HVAC system is responsible for keeping the temperature in your home or office comfortable. But one of the key parts of the HVAC system that you should be aware of is the vent control. The HVAC vent control is an adjustable piece near the unit itself that dictates where you feel the warm and cold air as its being pumped through your system. And knowing the right setting is they key to getting the maximum result from your system. For example, if you are running the heat, your vent should be slightly open to allow the heat to be pumped into the lower portions of your home. As heat rises, it will naturally heat the upper portions of your home or office. If the vent is closed, the heat will go directly upstairs, leaving the lower portions of your home chilly.
