Plant a Mixture of Grasses
Planting a mixture of grasses will serve several important purposes. First, a mixture of grasses will increase the chance of your lawn taking good roots and surviving harsh conditions. Also, a mixture of grasses will tend to resist the variety of turf diseases that can inhibit a lush growth. Grasses are best seeded from August to mid October when the weather cools. This will keep your lawn from being scorched by a hot summer sun. You can always reseed areas of your lawn where the grass doesn't survive.
