Choosing a Gas or Electric Hot Water Heater
The next time you go out to upgrade or replace your hot water heater, one of the decisions you will face is whether to get a gas or electric powered hot water heater. And the choice is a simple one actually. If you have natural gas available to your home, then you should always choose a gas powered hot water heater. Get an electric one only if you don't have access to natural gas. Gas is not only cheaper, but it uses less to heat a full tank of water than electricity. Gas also beats propane or butane powered hot water heaters because gas is easier to handle.
